National RCE Meeting April 6^th - 8^th 2008

The fifth National RCE Meeting was held in Chicago April 6-8, 2008. It was a huge success thanks to the immense cooperation of the nearly 300 attendees, researchers program officers and administrative teams.

Dr Anthony Fauci, Director of NIAID reviewed 5 years of extraordinary science and presented his directives for the next period of funding.

Dr Rona Hirschberg, Senior Program Officer, shared the most remarkable lessons learnt thanks to the RCE program evaluation

Dr Christopher Walsh of Harvard Medical School, presented a comprehensive landscape of Antibiotics and the coming challenges for the development of new antimicrobial drugs

Dr Bernard Roizman, of the University of Chicago, shared his deep knowledge of virus pathogenesis
